Javier Fernandez-Marques About Research Resume Blog About I am a research scientist at Samsung AI Cambridge (UK). I investigate new hardware-aware optimizations for deep learning workloads enabling either lightweight inference, efficient traininig or both. These days I spend most of my time contributing towards areas such as Federated Learning, Approximate Computing and NAS. In 2021, I got my DPhil (PhD) in Comuter Science from the University of Oxford where I was adviced by Nic Lane . I collaborate with the Machine Learning Systems Group at the University of Cambridge, and I am also a member of Linacre College . My up-to-date (March. 2021) resume can be found here . Prior to my PhD studies, I completed my B.Sc in Telecommunication Engineering at TECNUN, University of Navarra (Spain), in 2014 and a M.Sc in Computer Vision at Queen Mary University under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Cavallaro in 2015.
